Lumion Pro

A Rendero image does not update your model or provide a navigable 3D scene. Check openings, roof edges and material boundaries against the source before presenting it as a design option.
Lumion already has AI tools
Lumion Pro is a desktop rendering application. Lumion View is a separate product for rendering within supported modeling applications. Lumion Cloud also has browser tools. Check the requirements for the specific Lumion product you use before comparing hardware needs.
Lumion Pro’s AI Upscaler increases the resolution of rendered stills locally. Lumion also documents a separate cloud upscaler. Upscaling serves a different purpose from asking Rendero to propose a new material or atmosphere. Lumion’s documentation notes that fine textures can blur or smooth during upscaling; compare the saved original with the enlarged image.
Use an image study before building the final scene
If you already have a Lumion scene, export a view for a material study. You can also begin with a sketch or a model screenshot. The following is a suggested workflow; we have not measured a paired Lumion and Rendero project.
- Save the source view with its camera and the design details that must stay fixed.
- In Rendero, request one change, such as replacing the facade finish. Add a reference or select the relevant area if needed.
- Compare the result with the source. If the direction is approved, apply those decisions to the model and Lumion scene before producing the remaining views or animation.
Separately generated images can disagree about details. For a coordinated set of views, keep the approved materials and cameras in the 3D scene. The Revit and Rhino guides explain how to prepare an exported image for a study.
Check the cost of your actual workflow
Lumion Pro depends on local graphics hardware; Rendero generates images through its browser service. Include scene preparation, image corrections and rejected attempts when assessing either workflow. A low price per generation does not establish the cost of an accepted image.
We have not run a speed, cost or image-quality benchmark between these products. Compare Lumion’s current plans and Rendero’s current plans, then test with a source and deliverable from your own work.
