Rhino display modes as AI base images
Rhino draws the viewport in display modes, and the mode you capture decides how much the AI has to interpret. A neutral mode with clear edges gives the most predictable result; a line-based mode behaves more like a sketch.
Arctic

Shaded
Layer colours and edges. Useful when colour should hint at material zones for a segmentation selection.

Rhino: run ViewCaptureToFile, set Width and Height in pixels (the capture is sized independently of the current viewport), keep grid and axes off, and save as PNG. These steps follow McNeel's command documentation; options differ between Rhino for Windows and Rhino for Mac.
- Hide construction geometry, control points, clipping planes and isocurves you do not want interpreted.
- Capture wider than you need and reopen the file to check the full silhouette and openings.
- For Grasshopper studies, preview or bake one variant, capture it from the same named view, then repeat for the next variant.
- Keep one capture per option so each output can be compared with its exact source.
What Rendero does with the exported view
Rendero runs in the browser. Upload the Rhino export as the base image, write one short instruction, and optionally add reference images or a segmentation selection that limits the change to one region such as a facade, roof or glazing. Nothing is installed in Rhino and the model file is not changed.
A focused material instruction
Create an exterior material study from this view. Use vertical timber cladding on the opaque facade, standing-seam metal on the roof, clear glazing and soft overcast daylight. Retain the camera, roof line, window bays and the lower side extension. Keep the ground and planting neutral.
